Rental Terms & Conditions

Please read these terms carefully before confirming your rental reservation. By completing your reservation, you agree to the policies described below.

Reservation Deposit

A $100 reservation deposit is required at the time your reservation is confirmed. This deposit is credited in full toward your total rental price.

Security Deposit

A separate $1,000 refundable security deposit is required at delivery or pickup, at the same time the remaining rental balance and applicable taxes are collected.

The security deposit will be refunded after the vehicle is returned and inspected, less any documented, contractually permitted deductions.

Weight Restrictions

The combined weight of the driver, all passengers, and any belongings must never exceed 617 pounds (280 kilograms). This is the manufacturer's maximum combined payload rating.

Exceeding the weight limit may void the rental agreement and result in forfeiture of the security deposit.

Authorized Drivers

Only approved and verified drivers may operate the rickshaw. The renter is responsible for ensuring that no unauthorized person operates the vehicle at any time during the rental period.

Identity Verification

The renter and all authorized drivers must complete secure government-issued photo ID verification before receiving the vehicle. Verification is conducted through a third-party identity verification service.

Important: Sensitive identification documents are never submitted through an unsecured web form. All ID verification is handled through a dedicated, encrypted third-party service.

Rental Documents

The following documents must be completed before the vehicle is released:

Rental Agreement

The renter must electronically sign the rental agreement, which sets out the full terms and conditions of the rental, including permitted use, prohibited activities, and liability provisions.

Safety Acknowledgments

All authorized drivers must electronically sign the applicable safety acknowledgments before operating the vehicle.

Liability Waiver — Adult Passengers

Adult passengers must individually complete the applicable liability waiver before boarding. Each adult participant must sign individually; one signature is not sufficient for a group.

Minor Passenger Requirements

Additional requirements for minor passengers, including guardian consent and applicable waivers, will be established following legal review.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida.

Changes to These Terms

St Pete Rickshaw reserves the right to update these terms at any time. The version in effect at the time your reservation is confirmed governs your rental.
